ODIN

Odin Development Kit

Odin Development Kit

The Odin Platform is an integrated Command and Data Handling (C&DH) System and Electrical Power System (EPS) for the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Environment. Leveraging our years of experience designing space systems, the Odin platform provides an easy-to-use, re-configurable, and dependable system for those who want to view the satellite as a vehicle and not the mission itself.

A significant shortcoming of existing satellite avionics and power systems are they attempt to be too general-purpose, aiming to optimize through mass-production a system that will realistically fly on fewer than ten spacecraft per generation. Being designed for an ill-defined general-use case, these systems do not perform well for any real-life mission, and are inefficient in their use of power and computing; which are precious resources in any aerospace application.

Odin instead represents a flight-proven set of building blocks with highly efficient, custom and optimized interfaces.  We've designed an affordable system that can be quickly integrated, fabricated, and tested according to our customer's needs, guaranteeing a performance vs power consumption that is second-to-none, in a form factor custom tailored for your application.  Utilizing the Odin, small and nano class satellite systems can be built faster, cheaper, and more reliably than ever before, allowing for more resources to be spent developing and testing valuable payload functionality.

Features:

  • Lowest power real-time commanding system in class
  • Easy-to-use interfaces for pain-free integration into 1U CubeSat
  • Fault-tolerant avionics for bullet-proof performance on orbit
  • Flight software projects with user-friendly tool-chain for custom applications.
  • Optional development boards available

NOMAD

SolidWorks rendering of Engineering Model Hardware

SolidWorks rendering of Engineering Model Hardware

As our flagship architecture designed for extreme environment applications, the Nomad was developed for deep space and extraterrestrial missions where reliability is essential and any additional performance is invaluable.  By tightly coupling mission-critical functionality common to nearly all spacecraft, we were able to eliminate waste typically found at inefficient subsystem interfaces, greatly improving low-power performance while also reducing size.

Utilizing cutting-edge techniques in shielding and fault-tolerance, the Nomad was designed to provide unprecedented reliability in a miniaturized and ultra low-power form factor.

Features:

  • Low power real-time execution
  • Easy-to-use interfaces for pain-free integration
  • Triple modular redundant (TMR) computing architecture
  • Rad-Hard processors and memory
  • Tightly coupled hardware and software design to extract every ounce of processing capability

When it has to work, Nomad is the tool for the job.
